  36. In WIRED magazine about a month or two ago, there was an article about 
  37. proposed changes to the current copyright laws. Among the changes was pretty 
  38. much the elimination of "fair use" provisions, of which you describe above 
  39. (though the copying of a CD to tape for listening in a car is still 
  40. debated). Anyone involved in creation of art, music or other creative output 
  41. should track down the issue and read the article. Very interesting.

  51. I haven't heard of any cases of people getting sued over music on their 
  52. reels, but there have been cases over use of unlicensed music in trade show 
  53. demos. And the infringers lost. Your best bet is to always steer clear of 
  54. unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, whether it's music, words or 
  55. graphic images.
